A funny thing happened along the way

Its called life.

Per Via (latin)- along the way

A friend pointed out that in the bible most miracles jesus performed happened along the way to somewhere. He didn't proclaim his intent to nor set out to perform miracles but rather noticed the need and responded as he went about his day.

If you agree with the bibical perspective that Jesus was born to die (and as we all are- but thats another discussion) his calm attitude and ability to focus on the needs of other is inspiring. If it were you or I would we be tempted to spend our time dwelling on it? Trying to prevent it? or being so focused on it that we don't acknowledge the precious time and people that we do have left.

Many of us do just that. We are so busy buying make-up, working out, following trends, taking vitamins, trying the new fad diet, climbing that corporate ladder, and keeping up with the jones' that we forget none of it matters in the end. We all have the same corporal fate, death. (spiritual fate is another matter) and what good is working to prolong that life and "dress it up with the things of this world" if you are so busy doing so that you don't enjoy it.

People sometimes ask me what my motivation for getting up in the morning is. My answer is "To see what will happen" and "to experience it." Existence happens (for a reason!) and Death is inevitable. It comes willing or no. But no one can make you live.

We exist to experience life and the love of God and to share it to affect positive change with each other; be it with a smile, helping change a tire, a hug, or through a relationship.

Are you existing or experiencing?
Are you running from death or are you living till death?
Do you notice the miracles along the way to tomorrow?
